How to Clean a Lambswool Duster

how to clean lambswool duster

Any duster whether feather or wool requires cleaning to remove any buildup of grime and dirt. Cleaning your dusters regularly will ensure they pickup dust and last longer.

What you will need

  • Warm water
  • Dishwashing detergent
  • Glycerin

Fill the sink with warm water and a couple of table spoons of the detergent. Simply dip the duster in and out of the soapy water until clean. Empty the water and rinse your duster under clean running water to remove any soap residue. Wring the duster using your hands to remove as much water as possible.

Using your hands rub around 1 table spoon of glycerin into the lambswool to restore any oils washed away. Glycerin can be purchased from most chemists.

Place the duster onto a towel to air dry.  Once dry spin the duster in your hands to restore it to its original shape.
